Core construction and row count
Aluminium or copper-brass, how many rows, and how the tanks are joined — crimped with a gasket or welded — decide both cooling capacity and where it will leak.

Cooling parts fail by leaking, and they leak at the joins: the tank-to-core seam on a radiator, the shaft seal on a pump.
Both are inspectable before the part leaves China, which is most of what this category needs.

Aluminium or copper-brass, how many rows, and how the tanks are joined — crimped with a gasket or welded — decide both cooling capacity and where it will leak.
A radiator or intercooler can be pressure tested at the factory. We ask for it on sampled units and for the photographs, because a leak found in China costs nothing to resolve.
The shaft seal and bearing are the whole service life of a pump. Their brand and rating are worth asking for; the impeller material matters too, and plastic and cast iron are not interchangeable.
Mixed metals and the wrong coolant corrode quickly. Where the part sits in a system with existing components, we confirm the materials rather than assume.
Radiators are specified by core size and by where the connections sit. Two radiators with identical core dimensions can be unusable in each other's place.
Radiator fins bend if a carton is stacked wrong, and a bent core is a rejected part. Inner packing is specified before production.
